The JCRC reviews, critiques and advocates for legislature on federal, state and local issues that affect the regional Jewish community and enhance our community's ability to serve vital human needs.

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the UJCVP is the public affairs arm of the Virginia Peninsula Jewish community. The JCRC envisions a more just society by sustaining a strong and vibrant Jewish community locally, nationally, in Israel and around the world, and by enhancing that strength through collaboration with other communities.
Towards that end, the JCRC leverages the strength of our diverse Jewish community to educate and advocate on issues of vital importance to the Jewish community based on consensus, civility, and a commitment to public policy consistent with Jewish values. Through a broad representation of community leaders, the JCRC provides an amplified and unified voice of the greater Virginia Peninsula Jewish community on critical issues in the public sphere.

Combatting antisemitism, anti-Zionism and hatred through Holocaust and Israel education, collaboration, and advocacy.

Fostering positive and meaningful relationships throughout the community, including with public officials, and civic and other faith groups. The JCRC works with our neighbors for the common good.

Our community stands with Israel. We work diligently to educate and advocate on behalf of Israel and to strongly support a safe, Jewish and democratic State of Israel.
