The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the UJCVP has compiled this toolkit to educate, engage, and inform Virginia Peninsula voters about this year's election.

The Virginia Department of Elections provides comprehensive information, including how and where to cast your ballot. Register to vote or apply for an absentee ballot online using the Citizen Portal.

Register to Vote

• If you need to register to vote, you can register online HERE, register at the voter registration office in your city, or fill out the form HERE and return it to certain government offices, public libraries, Virginia Department of Elections office, Department of Motor Vehicles offices, or at Voter Registration Drive.

• You can find your polling place using your voter registration address on Virginia’s voter portal HERE.

• Be part of the civic process by becoming a poll worker. Learn more and sign up HERE.

Important Dates

Tuesday, October 15: The deadline to register to vote, or update an existing registration. (Voters may register after this date, including on Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot.)

Friday, October 25: The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail. (Your request must be received by your local voter registration office by 5:00 p.m.)

Saturday, October 26Voter registration offices are open for early voting.

Saturday, November 2: The last day of in-person early voting at your local voter registration office. (Offices close at 5 p.m.)

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 is Election Day.  

Vote by Mail

To vote absentee by mail, you must request an absentee vote-by-mail ballot and complete the Virginia Absentee Ballot Form. You can learn about voting by mail and early in-person voting HERE.
