Temple Sinai, the established Reform congregation on the Peninsula since 1955, welcomes you as a visitor or member. We welcome ALL Jews and anyone who wants to learn about our religion. Temple Sinai provides a way to worship God, celebrate your Judaism, and find support throughout your Jewish life cycle. We are affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism and our beautiful building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
We observe Shabbat sometimes on Friday evenings and sometimes on Saturday mornings.
We use the Mishkan T’filah prayerbook, featuring Hebrew and English prayers, songs, and transliteration. Members may volunteer to assist in services or even lead.
For members, religious school is free with small classes, under the direction of Rabbi Sokol. In addition to teaching there, Rabbi Sokol also leads two series of adult education classes.
Temple Sinai's programs include holiday celebrations, movies, and musical events. The Sisterhood plays a major role in the congregation, hosting Rosh Chodesh gatherings and leading excursions for the Congregation. Our Caring Committee assists members with mitzvot.
We actively support Social Action causes such as PORT, Transitions, and Jewish Family Services.
