Welcome to Adath Jeshurun!
We are the Orthodox Congregation of the Virginia Peninsula. We are affiliated with the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, the "OU".

Founded in 1893, Adath Jeshurun has been at the forefront of spreading Judaism and serving the Jewish Community with its spiritual and educational needs.

At the present time, our synagogue has two regularly scheduled services.

Shabbos and Yom-Tov services begin in the morning at 9:30 am, with a class preceding it at 9:10am.

Sunday Morning services begin at 8:30am.

Services are also held for special events and yohrtzeits.

Classes and special programs are offered by our Rabbi, Rabbi Raphael Davidovich, and the Rebbitzen, Deena Davidovich, at various times, both in the shul and at the nearby Jewish Community Center.

Our synagogue has a newly renovated mikvah managed by our very capable Rebbetzin and two beautiful kitchens managed by our Ladies Auxiliary. Mikvah information is available by calling the shul (757)930-0820, option 3.

We also have a gift shop with a variety of Judaica items. Come by the shul and have a look, or contact the director of the gift shop, Sarah Deyong at bubbesarah@aol.com.

Adath Jeshurun has played an active role in educating and helping Jews and is eager to play an active role. We are in the process of reorganizing the Peninsula Chapter of NCSY, the foremost national Jewish Youth group. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at adathjeshurun@juno.com.
